That's great!

Just to remind everyone not to believe something just because it's  
"in print", this part of Xeni's story is, I would say, a wild  
exageration:

It's true that phone companies have tried to block some of these  
nets; in some cases they've succeeded or caused unfortunate and silly  
restrictions.   It's also true that some of the efforts to block  
municipal nets have been blocked.   At any rate, municipal wireless  
networks are springing up like weeds this year, and that's on top of  
a base of 4,000 - 6,000 small private commercial Wireless ISPs,  
generally in rural areas.
