Hello again,

One more email for Guest Planners...

The people who have sent proposals for sessions on the 1st Round of
submissions are eagerly waiting for feedback. We set a deadline that
Guest Planner Groups should go through the proposals by *Wed 23 May*
(Wednesday next week). I know that this deadline might be tricky for
some groups, since people live in different countries and it's difficult
to find time for online meetings to make decisions. Nevertheless, I hope
that you can try to arrange such a meeting asap!

The applications you need to go through are here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0As1tewsvl857dEg4YllENzdza1RYb3VjTjRBa0R3WUE

(Please request access if you don't have it already)

Basically you can give 3 different kinds of answers:

1 - YES, we would like to feature this proposal in it's exact form

2 - NO, this proposal is not suitable at all to our Topic Stream

3 - YES, but in a modified form. You might want to make some sessions
shorter, combine several sessions (a very simple example: instead of
several long lectures, you can organise one panel discussion), etc. You
can either ask the person to submit a modified version on the 2nd Round,
or start a dialogue with the person.

Once you've made a decision, please inform the person who sent the
application directly and update information about your answer in the
spreadsheet.

About funding for travel / accommodation - the core organiser team is
working hard to get funding for travel & accommodation bursaries but at
the moment we cannot give any definitive promises about this... but
already now we can say that the arrangement will be similar as in
previous OKcon / OGDCamp events: we can give travel / accommodation
bursaries for only a small part of all participants, ie most of the
people have to arrange funding themselves.

Best regards,

Juha.
