Ahoy,

What do people make of this paper, particularly people with a background in 
economics?

Would it be appropriate to add this to our new background page*, and if so 
would we want to put a disclaimer next to the link dissociating ourselves 
from many of its arguments and conclusions?

The second paper from the ippr's project, 'Intellectual property and the
public sphere', looks at the economic arguments surrounding the intellectual
property, the evidence for the existence of a 'knowledge economy' in the UK,
and the possible role of IP in promoting (or undermining) it. The paper is
